FuelTech PowerFT ECUs - Way more than a dashboard!

September 06, 2019

There is a lot more than meets the eye when you look at a FuelTech ECU. What may appear to be just a dashboard is actually a complete car controller packed with tons of features geared for racing and high-performance vehicles.

There are lots of advantages for using our built-in control features.

Find out why a FuelTech PowerFT ECU is right for you!

FT600 FEATURES

FuelTech FT600 is the perfect association between the ECU and the dashboard; making it the world’s most complete solution presenting both features combined. The FT600 has a new and exclusive extremely high-quality aluminum housing, which is also waterproof to IP67 standards. Its design includes an upper visor that reduces glare and houses 10 LED lights that are color and intensity adjustable, suitable for a progressive shift light. There are also 4 more LED lights on the side of the ECU that are adjustable for diagnosing, alerts and current status of any sensor.

The FT600 has an anti-glare TFT touchscreen display and embodies a redesigned dashboard exclusively developed to grant the driver an easier viewing experience. The touch screen display makes it possible to make map adjustments directly on the ECU, without the need to use a laptop.

The FT600 is able to manage sequential injection and ignition on engines from 1 up to 12 cylinders (or up to 4 rotors). It comes with an option for simplified maps which allow making initial adjustments easier or 3D maps for more advanced applications. This new ECU presents individual cylinder injection and ignition trim and exclusive features that help on the first engine start. It also contains an advanced and efficient closed loop fuel control for engine safety.

Developed on the Power FT platform, already praised for the FT500, the FT600 presents new features such as the new SUPERSEAL automotive connectors that add up to 68 pins (20 sensor inputs and 32 outputs), accelerometer and gyroscope, 2 CAN networks, and a built-in GearController. The last feature enables the direct connection with the strain gauge sensor on the shifter, bringing new possibilities for more efficient engine gearshift cuts.

The FT600 also presents a pack of beloved racing functions used all over the world, such as time-based launch features, Boost control, Staging control, Pro-Nitrous control, advanced internal datalogger, just to name a few!

The FT600 uses the same FTManager software, with all resources and existing functions. It is also compatible with all existing features and FT500 maps. You can open, edit and save maps through an interactive interface that is easy to use.

FT550 FEATURES

The FuelTech FT550 is the best ECU for projects that require more features, including GearController (power-shifts), built-in accelerometer (G-meter) and gyroscope; In addition to all PowerFT ECU line features such as sequential injection and ignition, O2 closed loop, active traction control, integrated BoostController, internal datalogger, progressive and PRO-Nitrous controls, odometers, electronic throttle control, inclinometer, drag racing features and more.

It also features a sturdy and high-quality waterproof plastic case, automotive connectors with 52 pins, USB communication and two CAN Bus ports, 14 inputs and 24 outputs that are fully configurable.

Features the same FT600 dashboard design, including features like engine start button, new inclinometer gauges and virtual LEDs for arrows, headlights and other functions. The screen allows editing the maps directly on the module, without the need for computer use, seamless integration between the ECU and Vehicle dashboard!

The FT550 ECU use the same FTManager software of the FT600, with all the exact same features and functionalities, including the newest update that allows the user to update their fuel map by applying the O2 closed loop corrections that took place from a log file. The map files of all the PowerFT ECUs are compatible with each other, meaning that you can upgrade ECUs and keep the same tune you had already.

FT450 FEATURES

The FuelTech FT450 is the perfect product for projects that require a great cost-benefit by enjoying all PowerFT line features like sequential injection and ignition, O2 closed loop, active traction control, integrated BoostController, internal datalogger, progressive and PRO-Nitrous controls, odometers, drag racing features and more.

In a sturdy and high-quality waterproof plastic case, 26-pin automotive connector, USB communication and a CAN Bus port, it has 7 inputs and 10 outputs fully configurable.

Features the same FT600 dashboard design, including features for street cars such as engine start button, total and trip odometers and uses virtual LEDs for turn signals, headlights and many other functions. The LCD screen makes it possible to tune and setup all the settings without a PC, the perfect integration between the ECU and the vehicle dashboard!

The FT450 ECU uses the same FTManager software of the FT600, with all the exact same features and functionalities, including the newest update that allows the user to update their fuel map by applying the O2 closed loop corrections that took place from a log file. The map files of all the PowerFT ECUs are compatible with each other, meaning that you can upgrade ECUs and keep the same tune you had already.
