FuelTech is set to unveil the FTSPARK GEN3 MAX2000 ignition system at the 2025 PRI Show, marking the most significant advancement yet in the FTSPARK product line. Designed for the extreme demands of modern motorsport, GEN3 MAX2000 delivers unprecedented ignition performance, improved durability, and next-level data and integration capability — all while maintaining seamless compatibility with existing GEN2 installations. 

Unmatched Ignition Energy and Performance 

At the core of FTSPARK GEN3 MAX2000 is a completely redesigned ignition architecture capable of delivering up to 2000mJ per channel, establishing a new benchmark in high-energy CDI systems. Beyond peak energy, GEN3 MAX2000 provides: 

  • Higher spark current than previous generations
  • Increased spark duration, improving combustion stability
  • High output voltage at any energy level, maintaining robust spark performance even at 150mJ 

While the market increasingly requires ignition systems capable of operating at much lower energy levels, previous FTSPARK generations were limited to a minimum of roughly 450–500 mJ. The new GEN3 MAX2000 architecture breaks this barrier, delivering precise control down to 150 mJ without sacrificing discharge quality or reliability.

This combination allows FTSPARK GEN3 MAX2000 to ignite extremely rich air/fuel mixtures with consistency, making it an ideal solution for high-boost, high-compression, alcohol-based, or nitromethane applications where reliable combustion is critical.

PRO HV INJECTOR DRIVER

A New Standard for High-Energy Injector Control Across GDI and port injectors both high or low impedance.

FuelTech is set to introduce the PRO HV Injector Driver, a breakthrough module engineered to meet the extreme electrical and dynamic demands of modern engines — from high-pressure Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) systems to conventional high-flow Port Fuel Injection (PFI) applications. 

Designed for motorsport, R&D environments, performance workshops, and OEM integrators, the PRO HV Injector Driver blends high-voltage actuation, intelligent peak-and-hold control, and advanced diagnostics into a compact, robust, and fully configurable platform. Shape 

High-Voltage Actuation and Intelligent Peak & Hold Control 

At the heart of the PRO HV Injector Driver is its 65V / 17A Boost stage, enabling extremely rapid energization even for demanding GDI injectors — a fundamental requirement for precise fuel delivery under high cylinder pressures. 

Once the injector is energized, the module transitions seamlessly through: 

  • Peak Phase for commanding full mechanical lift
  • Hold Phase for stable and repeatable injection across the entire pulse 

This fully integrated Boost → Peak → Hold cycle ensures: 

  • Significantly reduced injector opening time
  • Consistent behavior at high RPM and high-load operation
  • Improved combustion stability in both stratified and homogeneous modes
  • Reliable performance for low-impedance injectors with extremely shortened pulse demands

These capabilities allow the PRO HV Injector Driver to deliver OEM-grade precision previously accessible only through specialized factory electronics. 

Full Support for GDI Platforms — Up to 8 Direct Injectors, and 2 GDI fuel pumps 

The PRO HV Injector Driver provides complete GDI capability, supporting up to eight direct injectors, each with fully independent current profiles. 

Its high-voltage actuation and precise current regulation deliver: 

  • Dramatically improved injection timing accuracy
  • Fast and repeatable opening under high pressure
  • Multi-pulse capability for advanced combustion strategies
  • Full flexibility in injection order — any cylinder, any sequence
  • CAN-based configuration for currents, timings, strategies and safety limits
  • Allows control of up to 2 GDI fuel pumps 

Extreme Control for port injectors both high or low impedance

Big power engines — including forced induction, ethanol or methanol-based setups and drag racing applications — depend heavily on large port Injectors both high or low impedance.

The PRO HV Injector Driver delivers what traditional drivers cannot: 
a massive reduction in dead time, transforming a typical 1.4 ms delay into as little as 0.3 ms. 

This leap in response time provides:

  • Ability to run large injectors without sacrificing drivability
  • Stable high-current operation even under sustained high duty cycles

REAL WORLD IMPACT: A RADICALLY SIMPLER AND MORE ACCURATE TUNE

When dead time minimized and equalized, the entire tuning process is simplified. Because the injector now opens nearly a full millisecond faster across the board, you can remove that time from the entire fuel map, gaining immense resolution and precision at very pulse widths.

"Basically, when you substitute a conventional peaK and hold for a high voltage one, you will probably reduce the entire map by about 1ms."


AVAIABILITY

The FTSPARK GEN3 MAX2000 and PRO HV Injector Driver are scheduled for release in 2026, with FuelTech set to announce the official launch date soon. As the release window approaches, more details, specifications, and integration resources will be shared with the racing community.
